Vocational training exchanges of full-time-staff and honorary members of management of Lebenshilfe in Europe

The cooperation of organizations for the people with disabilities on an European level makes it necessary for those responsible, whether as full-time staff or honorary management members, to know more about international ways of caring for the dis-abled. Therefore Lebenshilfe offers to its full-time staff and honorary members the participation - of a week or two - in an exchange programme in one of the countries of the EU. The idea is to get to know other national ways of caring for the disabled, in different institutions and from different positions.

Conditions of participation:

• with full-time staff, the proposal of the respective employer (with continued payment of salary and flat-rate payment of part of the travel expenses)

• employment within one of the institutions of Lebenshilfe or corresponding honorary function of at least three years

• language proficiency in English, French or Spanish according to the chosen country

As a rule, the following help and expenses will be given:

• placement by a European partner organization

• lodging and accompaniment by the respective partner organization

Participants will have to meet part of the costs for the trip there and back, or apply for support with their employer.
